DeathComeForThee
Hi there, I'm having issues finding the animations for the blowing banners in the animations bsa. Using NifScope, I can see the animations for the meshes when I open the nif files, but can't find any data on the actual animations anywhere. I know there must be something stored somewhere for the animation to even play, so where is it!? :wallbash:  Any help or point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. :)
DeathComeForThee
Or help finding any animation on an object that isn't called by a script or used by a creature really.

steve40
Right-click on an objects' form in the CK and select "preview" from the pop-up menu. In the preview window there are two panels near the bottom. One lists the Gamebryo animations (if any) and the other lists the Havok animations (if any). You can play the animations simply by clicking on their names. The hkx files are all in "Skyrim - animations.bsa" in your DATA folder, iirc. You'll have to unpack them using BSAOpt or similar program. Edited July 26, 2012 by steve40

I'm wanting to do some work on them in 3ds but none of the files for animations on static objects seems to exist in file format, which is odd. In the CK it does say there is a Gamebryo animation, are these maybe stored somewhere different?
Rustle32
The Animations for the banners are coded into the banners themselves. Many animated movablestatic objects are coded this way. They are actually animated Nifs.
DeathComeForThee
Ahh, thank you very much. Is there any way to extract that info into 3ds as well? I can convert the meshes in nifscope to Obj's just fine, but I don't suppose there's a way to get the animation data as well?
