wsejack
Ive been looking for a non-ENB mod that darkens the nights and dungeons, I tried a few and all of them seem to either rape the color scheme with a blatent lack of saturation (which is allready bad enough) or completly black out the sky at night. The night should be dark, but when the giant ass moons and nebulas are out, they shouldent look like they have a massive lense filter over them. Mods like Realistic lighting seem good in concept, and the ability to adjust it is great, but adjust all you want and you still cant fix the basic issues with it, and if you make the nights bright enough to see and the sky less dark filtered, then the days are all screwed up, expecialy the water wich is reflecting a sky thats a completly different color. Now this mod may be great indoors, but there is no way to just get the INDOORS part. or just affect the night part, the days are fine, they could be better, but I guess thats what enb is for, its the nights and interiors that are atrocious. Sneaking around in a well light consolitusy room gets real old real fast, talk about a complete lack of emersion. Alas I cannot run enb, So I was woundering if yall could throw some mods that ARENT mods like Realistic lighting that actualy ARE realistic lighting, and dont achive the desired darkness by sacrificing colors and saturation so terribly. Im not going to adjust my monitor just to play a mod, my monitor is PERFECTLY tuned for accurate colors and light ( I do video editing and post on it, as such it has to be the way it is), and all in all I dont think a mod should require it. ALL im looking for is a darker night, and darker interiors, not pitch black (though for dungeons thats just fine, that makes sense) But for nights? that dosent make any sense at all, even on a cloudy night you can at least see the torches off in the distance, and there is SOME light once your eyes adjust... more over, when its not cloudy and the moon and stars are out, you can see Very well, and in no way should that be pitch black. Does any one have anything that might fit this profile. The brand new Darker_Caves_Dungeons_Ruins_Towers_Nights mod is great in all cases EXCEPT that it makes the nights pitch black stars or no stars, and those stars are completly blacked out allmost.... But there has to be something.
mojodajojo
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13444/ Skyrim Visuals Outdoors I don't know if it meets your criteria, but I use his indoor version and it's amasing and non-ENB.
wsejack
Deffinately an improvemnt. I dunno why people need to achive a darker interior by blacking out things, and thus making it not so much dark, as its like you have sunglasses on.... its a bad look, this aint very dark, but it looks like the colors are an improvment. wsejack
Gave it a test, its not the worst out there but the night light still totaly contrasts with itself. I dunno mabey its skyrims fault, and I have to just go buy a new graphics card and to the post injector thing. I never figured reducing the ambient light was that big a deal, it usualy isnt for other games, but then Ive never played a game so shamelessly opposed to realistic light levels. Deleted4547977User
try Realistic Lighting with Customization (have 3 version, "default" or very dark, vision not too dark, and vanilla or improvisation to vanilla lighting), you can custom the darkness just for dungeon and night only Edited July 28, 2012 by Guest
