Sephiroth179
I got a pretty annoying problem in-game and i have no idea why :confused:when i stand still and do nothing (i dont even touch my mouse or keyboard), the character is moving on his own... (ingame of course :) )This is very irritating since i wanted to play an Archer-based char.the character is always moving straight to the right and doesnt stop at all but see it yourself: >>click HERE to check out the in-game vid (YouTube) as you can see, the mouse-cursor in the inventory does NOT move on its own. I also tried to unplug my mouse and replug it in afterwards but even when i had my mouse plugged out the character was still moving... so it cant be a mouse-issue. I also tried to unplug my keyboard but this didnt help as well. heres a list of the plugins i have installed and the load order if anyone needs it in any case: >>Oblivion Mod Manager list of plugins + load order (Photobucket) I hope anyone of you can help me. thank you in advance
bben46
Look in the Oblivion.ini for a parameter called bUse Joystick= If it is set to =1 (default) it will automatically assume you have a joystick attached and any small offset on any joystick voltage will cause creep in that direction. And no, you don't need to have a joystick attached or even a joystick input on your computer for there to be an offset. However, if your computer does have a joystick port you are more likely to see this. By setting it to =0 it disables any joystick motion and may cure your problem. Let us know if this works. If you don't know how to edit the Oblivion.ini, look here http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Ini_Settings
Sephiroth179
it really seems to be the joystick issue. I just changed the Oblivion.ini line "bUse Joystick=1" to "bUse Joystick=0" and now everything works fine again! :D Thank you for your great solution, it saved my night! ;D :thanks:
