how to remove trees to make 2 mods compatible?

Hello, I'm just a nobody who really wants 2 tree overhaul mods to work at the same time. I have been searching for hours, and cannot find any answers.

I like Project Rainforest and A Fantasy Forest Overhaul for Skyrim 3D Trees. The mods are not loading in the Creation Kit, (even one at a time)...and even the vanilla trees won't let me select or move/delete them. I can move other objects, like plants/stones. In the bottom window the trees are not even showing up. How can I load both mods, so I can delete trees that overlap?

THANK YOU!

So to explain better, I just tried to load only the 3D Trees in Whiterun World, in a random Wilderness section. Nothing loaded from either the mod or the game, except landscape textures. In a nearby square if i zoom out, I can see the grass, but cannot click on any. In another square I might see a few trees, but also cannot click or move. I see some other rocks on a mountain, but then they disappear.

If I am in whiterun, everything seems to work except trees. I can click on buildings, grass, shrubs, rocks ect.

Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks again.

Should I delete the lod files within the mod? I found this thread comment:

"Go into your data folder and open the LODSettings folder and delete or move the file <YourWorldspace>.lod.

Then go to Data/textures/terrain and remove or delete the file with the name of your worldspace, and do the same in Data/meshes/terrain folder and all the lods for your worldspace will be removed without effecting any other part of your mod."

Well to interrupt the monologue...

Only reason I can imagine why you can't select trees would be there are markers in the ways. Have you tried to disable markers in the render window by hitting the 'M' key?

If you want to make edits to both mods at once (aka making a patch) you need to make it semi-masterfiles by setting the internal master file flag for the plugins.

Thanks for the help. I did try hitting M. I watched 10 bethesda videos, but they were all in an interior room with the chest.

The trees and grass from the mods, and the vast majority from vanilla will not even load. I'll try to search making it semi-masterfiles.
