Error 0xc0000142

Whenever I want to start Oblivion with obse_loader v0016 this error pops out.

My Oblivion works but I really want to play with specific mods.After a month with this problem I gave up on those mods and this problem. Everything was fine until I found another problem...

My cmd (commandprompt) wont work. It's the same problem!

Is there a way to fix this? Someone recommended me RegCurePro but it didn't help me at all.

Since You know more about computers and Oblivion in general I ask if there is a solution for my problems. If not I will have to buy two new hard drives. I just wanted to check is there a solution before throwing money around.

I will be very thankfull if anybody solves this.

That is a generic error code from Windows which could mean a pretty wide variety of things from a corrupt .dll file to a corrupted operating system file(s) or even a virus. Given that it is not just OBSE but another unrelated program is also showing the error, it might be something in Windows is not working right. A virus check may be a good place to start.

A registry cleaner and defragmenter might help, a restore point before the problem occurred might also help, but worst case scenario is reinstall the operating system.

 

You should do a search of "Error 0xc0000142" on google or yahoo or whatever search engine you use as there will be technical advice on repairing this.
