haxr4n00bs Posted February 13, 2019 Share Posted February 13, 2019 (edited) pretty much title says it all. ive even downloaded an "illegal copy" to test it out manually. i do in fact own ruin's edge, using the creation club download button yields the same results as the manually downloaded mod. the odd thing is that this mod was working just fine yesterday. so far i have tried 2 fresh installs, removed vortex more than once and tried the game with ONLY ruins edge and nothing else (including skse), and now im going to try mo2 instead of vortex after one more fresh install. honestly no idea what is going on here... all the other creation club content i use works properly, and as a control i downloaded "illegal copies" of the other creation club mods that i own, and they actually DO work, even if i do not have the creation club mods installed through the creation club interface. id be happy to upload a video of this issue happening to prove that im not just trying to pirate the creation club content. plz dont tell me to just download the ruins edge mod from the nexus, i wanted this one because i think it looks better and i had some cash lying around. i have always modded skyrim somewhat extensively so im familiar with all 4 of the usual programs used for mod managing (mo, mo2, nmm, vortex), and ive always managed to set my load orders properly with hundreds of mods... this problem completely baffles me. UPDATE: upon launching MO2 it gave me a message at the bottom saying that the ruins edge esl was not found. this is uniquely odd considering that my game was on a fresh install and there should have been absolutely no references to that file for MO to find... haxr4n00bs Posted February 13, 2019 Author Share Posted February 13, 2019 sigh. fixed the issue. im not sure i even want to explain how because truthfully im not entirely sure. long and short is i deleted everything for the 2nd or 3rd or 4th time (its been a long night), installed and played skyrim through mo2 and downloaded ruins edge. was able to make it pop up with a help 4 finally. going to try again with vortex and pray that it works (vortex is much more brainless and keeps my mod list so id rather use that.
