amokrun1
I am trying to place a teleport door into the doorway of a subway station entrance but I can't figure out how to get it to snap into place. Snap to grid and snap to angle don't seem to make a difference. Isn't there a way I can just drag the object into the window and set it instantly into the space it fits into naturally, i.e. the doorway in this case? thousande
Assuming you have turned on snapping, a good rule of thumb is to press shift+Q to get a mouse pointer cross hair then click on eg. the door socket. That will set what objects snaps to. Many objects are not part of a kit and snapping more or less work. Other times you may have scaled the reference(s). If that is intended you may have to turn off snapping and fine adjust manually. Also, I think the snap reference is persisted so next time creation kit is opened it will use the previous snap reference. Press Alt+Q to clear the snap reference.
