Help Installing Nehrim

HOWSE

Recommended Posts

I've looked on Youtube for any vid tutorials to aide in installing Nehrim but the two english vids are not very helpful. The one is unbearably annoying with all the noise from the guys fan blowing over the mic and the other, well let's just say my rant about them is a little less annoying than his rant about OOO (LOL), which I could've overlooked if he had spent more time talking about the installation which he didn't. With all that said, is there any tutorial that explains how to load Nehrim without losing my heavily modded (yes, FCOM-OOO-MMM etc.) data. The one tutorial hinted at it, he said he would explain ghosting [using Wrye] but once the tirade began all went out the proverbial window.

Most mods won't work with Nehrim, unless they have a version specifically for it; you can pretty much think of them as separate games. The Nehrim installer will make a copy of your Oblivion folder during the installation process, so you shouldn't lose any of your data. If you are really worried about it you can manually create a copy of the Oblivion folder.

I would also recommend reading the guide:

With the help I got, I was able to install and am playing Nehrim. I have another question, before I screw-up something, has anyone running Nehrim been able to run Streamline in the game? I have had tremendous success running it with Oblivion and would like to use it here. With Oblivion it keeps my graphics card in the 40-50ish temp range (with everything but shadows cranked up) depending on what's being rendered. Oblivion with Streamline keeps my gtx580 cool and quiet but when I run Nehrim the fps soar into the 60s along with the heat and the fan.
