naglenn88
Recently my Skyrim game has been running horribly. The load times take anywhere from 2-5 minutes and it is lagging constantly. I've had the game for several months now and it has never run like this before. I'm running it on low settings with the antialiasing and anisotropic filtering off. I have reinstalled twice now and am running no mods. SpecsProcessor: AMD Athlon II X4 635 Processor 2.90 GHzRam: 6 GBOperating System: Windows 7 64 bitGraphics: ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series I'm about to buy a new graphics card because I know that mine is pretty bad, but it has handled Skyrim on low settings before. What should I do?

lazloarcadia
Well, i'm pretty confident that it is not your hardware. I have a new HP Pavillion HPE (3.2 gig 6core, 10 gig of RAM, Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7450 - factory installed). I've only had the system about 4 months, and it is fully updated with its latest drivers, java scripts, windows updates, full version of Norton, etc etc.....And skyrim is running like HELL on it with poor FPS and "micro stuttering", and at least part of the time crashing entirely when something new happens like zoning through a door, or interacting with someone / something for the first time. At first i'd become convinced that it was a mod conflict (and i'm still not convinced this isn't at least part of the problem), but i've been reading a lot about this issue and the smoking gun on it seems to pointing to an issue with the latest patch + AMD graphics cards. The only part of this that really screws with me however is they have known about the issue for what appears to be months now and still the issue is being widely talked about on the message boards. ~ Lazlo ~
