Add Item Menu not completely working?

I just ran into an issue after downloading papyrus. Everything is in my inventory, and I even did a fresh install (of add item menu). The menu opens up I can get the items and powers, but they just seem to do nothing. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? (Is it incompatible with papyrus, or did a file get overwritten?) (I only installed papyrus, and then it broke I didn't add anything new besides it)

Did you install "UIExtensions"? It is required for AddItemMenu to work:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17561

By "papyrus" you probably mean "PapyrusUtil":

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13048

If you have a version conflict here (version of PapyrusUtil, SKSE and game not matching exactly), this might also cause issues. Make sure you got the fitting build of SKSE for the game version you're using. Make also sure all mods depending on SKSE are for the version you have installed.

The gizmo/item (looks like a dwemer item at first as I recall...been a while) that the add-item powers come in contains two spells, add-item and add-item-search, which can be added to your quickmenu for easy access.

Once the initial song and dance of getting the spells is done, both use the assigned shout key. however you access them, (be it from the main magic menu or via the quick access menu), pick one you want to use.

(game isn't open, but afaik you'll find them in the main spell list that shows everything "[add-items]" and "[add-items-search]" <<< as shown afaik. I don't recall if and for some reason don't' think they show up in the shouts section... could be wrong on that if so sorry).

pick and fire the first, and a list of your installed mods containing acquire-able items will appear. Pick one of the mods and its listing of items will appear. Transfer an item to your player just as you would do from a chest or from looting a body. Or transfer them all just like you might do when looting a body or emptying a chest.

pick and fire the second, and an input (search) box will appear. enter text like "cure" or "sword" or " black" or "skirt" or "goblin" or "Marie antoinette dress" , etc into the box and hit enter. Add-item will then search for any acquire-able item from all your mods with "downloadable" content and display the results. (afaik any search with three or more contiguous letters will return content which has text matching that text clip). Like before you can then transfer items just like a chest, etc.

I put them in my quick access menu, as it makes it very "friendly" to use them without digging through the main magicka menu, just as one might add a group of fire or ice spells or whatever.
