tyreil829 Posted September 8, 2008 Share Posted September 8, 2008 i have run something called Halo Wars ( not the game a war sort of very large scale map) Players vs NPCS on a big map the AI tied into Vehicles ( including Warthogs) anyway the point this poll is about should i make Player Wars a fight with 2 NPCs that i make but you give the Race ( Vanilla races + Mystic Elf looking for any good stable race mods for this)the Skillsthe Mods ( within limit i don't have many mods) Rules:three fights 2 out of 3 wins Winner gets Kudos and that's that you can challenge anyone on here as long as i get a PM from the 2 fighters No matches will happen until i get a PM from both people who want there NPCS to fight ExamplePM from Tyreil829 i want Horus Re to fight Dezi's Char ( who ever that is) Dezi or the other fighter must also send a PM me for the fight to happen as for in game ( those rules may be changed if i see there is sense ) No Staffs or Marksman Scaled items ( depends on poll)No Overpowered items ( really 100% reflect come on..) i will not effect the matches only set them up it really does depend on your followers Racial Bonus stay as they are they will have a bit effect on combatall skills picked by you will be 100 so your skill is even Possibility be able to do Team fights or 4 free for all but we will stick with 1 vs 1 at the mo but by all means you welcome to PM and i will set up make teams if you want and i will see if i will add it another thing i might do is Leagues if this proves to be a success all feedback would be wonderful i will do a example fight the mod is very basic but this is just for examples i will update it later Col John Sheppard and Rodney Mckay Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Deleted269910User Posted September 9, 2008 Share Posted September 9, 2008 This is an interesting idea, you also might want to consider changing the situations for the fights like area for example, some could be in water, some in forests and some on flat plains, this could change the results of each fight due to the variations on the battle location and obstacles and doesn't sound too much if there are 3 fights per match. The only thing with this would be that some players might not like seeing their character getting owned and considering the amount of customization most people have in their armors, it'd be hard to get even fights, or to please the combatants on what their gear would be like. You could set some basic rules one what enchants would be allowed, you try fighting someone with a 100% chameleon or invisibility, although it could be countered with a always active life detect, although with active life detect, it would render the 100% chameleon gear useless. So this is what I'm, basically suggesting;-Rules about what enchants are allowed and what is not.(100% chameleon is for sissies, although counterable)-Several different types of fighting areas and locations+obstacle variations-What enchants and what kind of a fighter the character is, should only be known by the contestant and the tournament holder so the participants can't start a counter enchant war. -Custom CS enchanted gear could be allowed if the enchants have a pre-set maximum 'enchantment cost' to keep it all fair. Deleted269910User Posted September 11, 2008 Share Posted September 11, 2008 With being a 'tester' I meant to be a participant. ;) Anyway as to move on to the point of this post, area suggestions like you asked; -Anvil Coast, near the doomstone.(Or whatever you want to call it.) Great scenes, some obstacles and no one to disturb the fight.-Imperial City Bridge or the bridge southeast if IC that crosses The Upper Niben, great scenes and rarely have people running around there, apart from the occasional bandits/marauders, limited area of movement with little obstacles.-Lake Arrius, nice scenes, has the water element that can be (ab)used by mages and archers, also a nice amount of obstacles. Area should prolly be cleared of the wildlife prior to the fight.(Console; kill) (>>If you have SI<<)-The Hill of Suicides, nice views, lots of space to move in and has plenty of water around it, amount of obstacles is somewhat limited. P.S. You don't need to set the aggression so high that the fighters attack anyone on sight, make two opposing factions with -100 disposition towards eachother and add the combatants to them. P.P.S. You should have some magicka enhancing mods like Mighty Magicka, Midas Magic and/or Duke Patricks Combat Magic BETA to make mage archtype fighters more viable, in Vanilla they are/were way underpowered.
