Matveltovitch
It would be a special terminal and/or table that the player can place down in settlements that offers unique projects that are specific to that particular settlement. In order to accept a project, the player would need a certain amount of resources, and accepting the project would 'lock' the player into it for a certain period of time (fade to black, screen fades in after the project is complete with the in-game time having advanced notably) These projects are not constrained to be within the build limits of the settlement itself. As mentioned, these projects differ from settlement to settlement, but for an idea as to what some of them could be:Fixing the bridge at SanctuaryRepairing the houses at SanctuaryCutting down the tall tree at the Sanctuary cul-de-sacRepairing the buildings at Jamaica PlainsRepairing/capping the walls at The CastleRepairing the walls at Coastal CottageFixing/removing the collapsed 'wing' at Starlight Theater Drive-InI'm sure there are other places where people could come up with special projects like these (the 'repair the building at X settlement' one could easily be reused pretty much anywhere), so I don't doubt there would be enough projects to make a mod like this worthwhile. One major problem I could see this causing is it would cause issues with SimSettlement city plans, though I can also theorize some ways to integrate this mod into SimSettlements, by having the ability to lock and/or unlock city plans by completing construction projects (for example, by locking any Castle city plans that incorporate their own wall reconstruction efforts once you complete the wall rebuilding project, unlocking plans at Sanctuary that require the removal of the tree etc.) I know that there are mods out there that already fix several of these 'projects' already (specifically that bridge one), and this mod would be a way to consolidate and/or integrate them.
