MShadowy
Well, this is not quite how I intended my first post on the forum to go, but I digress. When I first noticed this problem, I had just finished talking to Wide-Eye about the Chalice (stage 20), but eventually traced the problem to Stage 10; that is is to say talking to Thadon in the first place. In irritation, I decided to just skip the step. The result? Map markers vanish. "Okay," I said to myself, "I'll just go farther in." See above. "Alright, me" I finally decide. "Time to skip the quest." Guess what happened to all the map markers. Eventually I fled to the tech support forums to look up for anything similar, and the suggestion was disable mod-packs and so and so forth. With the exception of Chingari's Demon Race mod, as I was playing one and didn't wish to risk whatever might happen if I loaded a game with a non-existent race, I did so to no avail. Now quite irritated I decided to just do Syl's quest to blow off some steam; everything proceeded as anticipated, no map markers went AWOL on me, and I got a new bow for my efforts. Huzzah! But wait... despite completing Syl's quest Understanding Madness failed to progress; somewhat leery considering my earlier ordeal with Addiction, I made a new save and console'd my way to the end, but not total completion, of the quest. The map markers again disappeared. I figure that this must be a bug, because I'm fairly certain something like this would be mentioned in the quest descriptor on the wiki if it occurred normally, something along the lines of "Now, your map markers have all just vanished. DON'T PANIC! This is just what Thadon's doped rambling does to people." ... hmm, if talking to Thadon does away with the markers, and advancing the shell quest to completion does the same, then perhaps the problem will resolve itself. But that would probably be too much to hope for. (Edit: As anticipated, a noon that one. Oh well, guess I may have to try a full re-install.) In any case, thanks in advance for any assistance you might care to give.
RedRocketTM
Sounds weird, really. o.O The only thing I could tell you is try to show mapmarkers via console. But...It will show ALL mapmarkers, no matter if you visited the places before or not, but it shouldn't do anything to your game process so far. Command is: "togglemapmarkers" or simply "tmm" without the "'s, the same command hides them again.
