I found this thread and I've been having the same problem. Pretty much my characters left arm starts to twist at the armpit when strafing left. Happened suddenly and I tried to load a new save but to no avail. Then I tried reinstalling the skeleton. Then body replacements and then I even tried replacing the locomotion animation file for left. Lastly I completely deleted my Fallout under the steamapps directory. Even deleted my documents fallout folder. Still nothing. The weird part is even when my locomotion animation was deleted my character was still able to strafe left. Is there any files for the game outside of the folders under documents/games and steamapps? Thanks for any help.

Edit: for anyone that finds this I've found a fix. Thought I'd share since the last thread mentioning this glitch was 7 years old. Download BnB (bouncing natural breasts). And copy the left animations in meshes/characters/_male/female. You can use any left animations that are exclusively female but I couldn't find any that exist standalone. Also this is the only one I tested and can say for sure works. The walking strafe is still a bit weird but much better as well.

Re: "Is there any files for the game outside of the folders under documents/games and steamapps?"

Much depends upon the "mod manager" you are using. If it is working from the concept of an "empty Data folder", then it stores many things in other locations and copies "symbolic links" to the Data folder based upon your "profile" in use that "game session". What things are stored where is something you will have to research in that manager's documentation.

Re: your solution. I'm not clear on some details. Are you saying you downloaded a BnB skeleton but did not install it? And then manually copied the "left movement" animations from that mod's "meshes\characters\_male\female" folder to that of the "Data" folder tree, replacing the vanilla animations?

Thank you for taking the time to report your solution to this long standing problem.
