Sporadic CTD's

I had 2 characters in Skyrim, my first character's save had heavy mods into it, I've stopped playing that save and made a new one, removed some redundant mods and added new ones (mostly just weapons/armor type things). It worked fine for a while (up until level 29), and recently it just started crashing at various points. The first thing I noticed was that some actions had a massive delay or did not happen at all, like when you're about to brawl someone for 100 gold, I'll give them my money and wait for them to get up, but they never get up to fight. They just sit there, and I can talk to them and reinitiate the brawl, pay another 100 gold and they'll still sit there. Eventually the game will crash. I also can't mine ore, as nothing happens when I try to activate it. Game eventually crashes after this too. Also when walking into Whiterun for the first time, normally there would be people arguing about something, but it never happened. They just stood there and then eventually walked away.

 

I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, disabled all mods, enabled all mods, nothing fixes it. The CTDs don't just happen in the situations above but at other random times too. Although one consistent thing I notice is that, when trying to activate one of the actions mentioned above, opening my inventory almost always causes a CTD. I've ran BOSS and Wyre Bash, no conflicts detected.

I don't know what to do anymore. The game is completely unplayable. The game would maybe work completely vanilla, but then it defeats the purpose of me modding the game.

It seems some of the scripting is damaged or removed completely. Sometimes its caused by mods that you add then remove, it doesn't always change the script back to normal. I do not know what scripts are the cause, but you might want to try to delete all the mods that you have and clear everything you have from the DATA folder, re-installing the game, use steam to validate the files and try to see if a new game save will work properly, if it does not work properly then there must be something wrong with the game files. As in, a couple months ago, when the game came out, there were missing files from the game that affected the shouts and were not fixed, that being said it could be something corrupt on your disk, as I have not had this problem.

But its most likely scripting and resetting everything should fix it.

I've just recently reinstalled the game, deleted every single thing left over so the new install would be completely clean. Reinstalled my mods, game worked fine for a while. Went up to Bleakfalls Barrow, game crashed once. After that it ran fine for a while, I got to Whiterun, and the above situations happened (brawling not happening, scripted event not triggering). This time I can mine ore though.
