neerson
I am playing SSE/Legendary with an XBOX1 Controller on a PC as a preference, I understand I am limiting myself on a great deal of flexibility and options compared to keyboard/mouse, so I don't need help with this decision. Also, I use Mod Organizer.... and I am really glad I found this tool early in my "gaming/modding experience". However, if there is someone here that can help me with general guidance to sort of help shorten my learning curve as regards modding, but still using a controller, I would really appreciate it! I am somewhat computer savvy (PC), but I don't really have the time to over-learn heavy modding. I try to generally stick to mods that are fairly noobish end-user friendly. I haven't been able to get skui or skse to work for me, it seems a lot of utility type mods need these in order to work, but my understanding is that these will be useless if I am using a controller....? Otherwise, I end up skipping over any mods that say skui or skse is required, since I don't really get how to use these along with a controller - I feel I am probably missing out on more than I need to? If there is a general guide online anyone knows of that I can study up on to keep going in the right direction to maximize my options for mods, while still using a controller... that would be great. Or, if you have some "basic fundamental tips" that would help me avoid too many pitfalls... I'd really appreciate it.
Baer2x4
Using a controller has nothing to do with SKSE64 or SkyUI, or mods in general. I use one sometimes when I sit in a recliner & play on a large screen TV. You will have to pick up the KB every now & then, for like if you need to enter a console command but no biggie. You did D/L SKSE64 and follow the readme in the d/l & not SKSE, which is for LE, right?Don't expect to play any modded game without learning some basics. There are many tutorials you can google for that.
