MrCooper2006
Hi guys. Need some information on the above - I have all installed with FCOM and can see traces of them in the game, but I cant see anywhere to find out what they do or how to work them... Ive seen "pure ebony" for sale in Smiths for example Ive seen a spell given to me from picking up a Ruby It says you cannot bash this lock sometimes. But i dont know exactly what to do... Can someone explain how to Lock Bash and what it involves? (I know theres the options for turnin the difficulty down and being able to lockpick in combat n change security requirement etc) But how do you actually do it? Also, what about the hunting crafting? Do i buy the ebony/iron then somehow forge my own weapon? ANd whats the geomancy about? Do you exchange gems/rubys for different spells? Help pleaseeee
Shadowcran
1.) Geomancy. First you will need to read the book, "Reporton Ayleid Geomancy". You can find this book in the lobby ofthe Arcane University (you do not need to be a member). Itwill explain what geomancy is, and the effects you canexpect from different stones. After you have read this book, spells from geomancy willbe added to your normal list of known spells whenever youpick up gemstones. Select and cast them as you would anyother spell. You can identify them easily because theywill have "Geomantic" as the first part of their name.Every time you cast one of these spells, a gemstone of therelevant kind will be lost forever. Each kind of gemstone(like ruby versus diamond) has a different type of spell, and each quality (flawed versus flawless) has a differentstrength of that spell. 2.) Gem Dust (by Turgothh). If you have a mortar and pestle in your inventory, you canclick on a gemstone in your inventory: it will be groundinto a dust, which you can use to help with your potionbrewing. If your alchemy skill is very low (less than 25),there is a 50% chance that you will ruin the gem withoutgetting anything useful from it. Flawed gems will give onlyone portion of usable dust, normal gems give two, andflawless gems give three portions. This one and lock bashing were individual mods integrated into OOO 1.3. They're still individual mods, but not needed if you have OOO installed. Now researching hunting/crafting.
Shadowcran
ATTENTION USERS OF earlier Hunters MOD versions------------------------------------------------------------------I had no problems with my save game when switching out the ESP fileto Hunters MOD v2.5. Having said that, it is always a good idea to keepa backup copy of your save game before installing new mods. If you encounter any bugs please let me know! [email protected] NEW IN VERSION 2.5-------------------------------------------------------------------Many creatures now drop Bones, Brittle Bones, Large Bones, Ribcage, Rawhide Skins, Feathers, Rare Arrowheads and Goblins even carry tools andmaterials that can be used with this mod and Axebane_RealHunger25. -Fletching Tools can be found that allow the creation of many types ofArrowheads & Arrows, includingBone, Barbed Bone, Silver, Flint, Obsidian, Ogre's Tooth & Daedroth Tooth. -Leatherworking Tools can be found that allow the creation of Light Armorslike Hide, Hard Leather & Bone Studded. Rawhide Animal Skins must be turnedinto Cured Hide or Tanned Leather before you can craft with it. Simply go hunting and find some prey. Save the Bones, leave the BrittleBones & Ribcages because they are unusable. (Large Bones will be usablein future versions of the Hunters Mod to create shields and heavy armor) Then find a set of Leatherworking Tools and some Fletching Tools and youcan start making your own ammunition and armor. Check in all barrels andcrates and you will find some. The tools tell you how much materials youneed for each item you try to make.

Shadowcran
Hope I helped out. I learned a few things while doing it. Realized since I had OOO up and running, I didn't need the MMM one for gems and gem dust, so that left me another place to put another mod in my bloated game. Nope, I went through my read me's. I keep them all in a separate folder just for occasions like this. One of these days I'm just going to move them all into one big document. For Geomancy, I just went to the Nexus entry for the individual mod and copied and pasted it's read me.
MrCooper2006
Ohhh.... Ive seen the Rawhide skins after hunting deer but thought they were just like Wolf Pets, just something to sell. Not seen any fletching tools or anything tho yet, maybe iv just missed them. This could be interesting thanks again Shadow. By the way, any idea how to actually "Bash" a lock?? I cant seem to do it. Shadowcran
I haven't tried yet. I've succeeded in lockpicking all but the ones that say "this is beyond your skill".
MrCooper2006
Yeah i have that too... mainly for the very hard ones, altho you can turn that off with the "options" tab in your inventory from UOP. (I personally left this on as it gives some reason to get expert in Security, altho i turned off the "No combat lockpicking) as i find it very annoying. It seems to think your in combat even when theres one lone Goblin at the other end of a dungeon..... hmm. Still cant find anything on bashing tho.... Iv tried hitting one with a warhammer when i didnt have lockpicks and it said something along the lines of "you tried but unsuccessfully bashed this lock" Also with OOO, the traps are OK, it said "You feel there may be a trap on this lock, do you want to try and remove it" I said yes, two seconds later I was dead with serious burns..... lol
MrCooper2006
Oh sorry mate didnt notice the earlier post ... the one describing exactly how to Bash a lock......!!! Anyway this is exactly what I was looking for, thanks alot. I guess the actual bashing is for ppl poor in security skill or who cannot do the lockpicking game.
