tungol
Some folks seem particularly generous to me; but I wonder if maybe it's just a question of resources. I've posted about 5 mods, none of them of much consequence. It wasn't so much a sense of charity, but payment. I've gotten so much from the community, and I'm so appreciative--it's that gratitude that makes me wish I could offer something more substantial. I've received far more than I could ever give. But that's the great thing about the community. Because I think even the folks whose mods everyone is using could still say the same thing. The hundreds (or thousands!) of minor offerings made freely to the community have made us all far more wealthy. Like Jesus said, "Cast your bread upon the waters, and after many days it will return to you." That's essentially what we do here, and it benefits everyone. Aeryn333
I love Oblivion no matter what game I play I always come back, I played so many times now, but mods make each time, something new..Now the Lost Spires I now started a new game again, with the arrive by boat I like that.. to get to level 20, to play it, and Giskards mods..that made me start over again, and my favourite house mod Belda Elysium just came out with it extended new next version of its Cliff hanging quest..Just when you get allitle bored out comes a new mod, and it excitement again.. I bought last year for my birthday, this expensive gaming computer just to be able to play Oblivion..Now I neither regret I am in debt paying off this computer, or that I got this game..the game was worth getting this bloody great gaming computer so Oblivion looks awesome on it, with the help of some great graphics mods.. I could play this forever, and thank Bethesda, for this, but just wish, they would see that the popularity of this game, deserves another Elder Scroll series continuation. it would only be money in their pocket and loyal fans, cheering them on...I Say long may the Elder Scrolls continue..and all the awesome people who mod here, and keep this community what it is la.. Michlo
For me it was definitely the reason. I too put it on the back burner until I got a better machine. Since I treated myself on my 40th to a rather kick arse, $3000 box, I now get to experience Oblivion as it was meant to be (better actually, thanks to our modders). Cheers. shandrill
I keep playing Oblivion because it is fresh each time. I play because of the Modders talent. Every time a new Mod comes out that takes my fancy, I download it with glee lol and show it around. It also surprises me sometimes how much the game still grows despite what seems to be a lack of support from its game creators. I was wondering if another expansion was going to come out as there had been only one and I would be happy to hand over more of my hard earned cash for another. After all Morrowind got a couple, so about 2 weeks ago I went over to Bethesda forums to ask and was a little surprised by the responses. The first reply was from a gamer was LOLing wondering how long it would take for my post to be locked and while I was replying to that asking why it would be locked (honestly had no idea why what I asked could have been wrong or offensive) before I could hit the submit button it was locked and moved to a musty archive lol! So they treat their customers (US) badly. For me it is without doubt the Modders that make and will continue to make the game grow ( :woot: Giskard and many others) I still also have many breath taking moments where I run over a hill and stop to find an awe inspiring sight, my brother will stop what he is doing and will just sit and watch while I run through the wilderness the graphics are mesmerizing sometimes.
