Ru5tyShackleford
I run OBMM via Mod Organizer, I believe it worked fine at one point but now OBMM struggles to do anything. It has errors installing mods, activating them, and refuses to shut off. Once it's turns back on, it undos everything it previously did. On top of that, I'm having troubles getting female Khajiit textures to appear for HGEC + OCO. I was able to fix the bugs with all the other races but the female khajiit who was stuck with a purple body no matter what I tried to fix it with. I explained my method in these comments:https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/44676?tab=posts&BH=0 this is the error I keep getting whenever I try to shut it off: crashdump: Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 10:23:18 PM1.1.12 (Safe mode)OS version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.2.9200.0Type: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundExceptionError message: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion\data\Textures\creatures\Minotaur'.Stack trace: at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)at System.IO.Directory.Delete(String fullPath, String userPath, Boolean recursive)at System.IO.DirectoryInfo.Delete()at OblivionModManager.MainForm.TidyDataFolder()at OblivionModManager.MainForm.MainForm_FormClosing(Object sender, FormClosingEventArgs e)at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnFormClosing(FormClosingEventArgs e)at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmClose(Message& m)at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m)at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m)at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) I've tried making some dummy files, but OBMM just deletes them then tells me something else is missing. Any ideas? Is there something I can replace OBMM with?
DrakeTheDragon
Now that's an interesting idea... running OBMM "through" Mod Organizer. Can't say I've ever seen anyone attempt that before. Are you sure that's working right? I don't know too many details, but Mod Organizer creates a virtual file system, which will only be present, while the tool is running, inside the game folders it seems, thus why all tools and the game have to be run "through" it, too, in order to be able to read and write from and to those folders and files. Your error message up ahead sounds to me like OBMM couldn't find the "virtual" folders inside your Data your MO provided, or should provide. It could be as simple as a clash of permissions/elevation, or it could instead be OBMM uses a different way to interact with your drive than MO's virtual file system can provide. There's several other cases and tools known which cannot run through/interact with MO's VFS, so another one to the list won't be surprising. One thing I'm asking myself the entire time since I started reading you though... "Why" do you even use OBMM still, if you're clearly using MO to keep your game folders empty when not run? What's the benefit of running 1 mod manager through another, instead of just using the 1 manager for all? OBMM's got tools and features which will come in handy, but if it's only for those OMOD installs, these can either be installed through MO itself already anyways, or just need to be restructured some to be installed through MO. And I don't even dare imagining what all could go wrong when you try applying its Archive Invalidation through the VFS means for instance. "Virtualized" A.I.? What could possibly -not- go wrong? :ermm:
Ru5tyShackleford
I use it since Mod Organizer acts kinda dumb with some Oblivion mods, especially replacers. I believe it was the cause of the OCO ear bugs I was experiencing. I'm pretty sure I got the idea from somewhere else, but it was a long time ago. I think it worked fine for a while but eventually it just quit on me. I do the same thing with FOMM and MO and it's been working fine so far.
