Jojash
So, I've been attempting to make a sword for Fallout New Vegas and I made the shape of it in Blender 2.63a and then attempted to open that same file in Blender 2.49b, so that I could export it as a .nif file, but when I do that it informs me that I've "Opened a 250 file, key information will get lost, like animation data." upon opening the file it seems to remove all of the vertices and retain a wire version of the mesh? It looks like this:http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/7641/rapiererror.pngIf anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong here and how to fix it I'd be very grateful! Werne
See, there's a problem with your process. If you try to open a newer .blend file (from Blender 2.63a) with an older version of Blender (2.49b), you won't be able to edit it further. You also won't be able to unwrap it or anything. Open it with 2.63a, export as .obj then import into 2.49b and it will work like a charm. And the wired view might be a problem with Drawtype, click F7 and under Draw/Drawtype check if the object is set to Solid. If it's set to Wire, change it to Solid. But in any way, you won't be able to edit the object unless you import it as .obj. EDIT: I just realied that Blender says 0 faces in your screenshot, it didn't even load the faces. The solid/wired won't work if there's no faces. Edited July 30, 2012 by Werne
