sinnerman69
The patch is now installing, so if your not wanting the install put steam in offline mode and back up your previously patched game else where this was my games exe after the last update a few minutes ago, I stuck with the previous patch http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm172/sretsgiarc/patch.jpg

sinnerman69
You only need to backup the everything outside your data folder to do with the previous patch game in your skyrim program director, although it doesn't hurt to backup the data folder too
Error404NotFound
The new patch is working fine on my pc. the only thing i had to do was to install the beta 1.5.10 of SKSE and to rearrange my mod loadorder (with BOSS) and now it's working.no need to backup my files. ;)

kevkiev
Yowzers that was a short beta period! Well, hopefully all will be good. Although I was going to try again to avoid the patch with the Skyrim Unplugged mod, I enabled update to verify my game cache last night and I'm pretty sure I forgot to disable again. Ah well, I'll find out after work. *looks for "getting caught with pants down emoticon* Good to know the SKSE crew is on top of things as usual  edit: actually, I do believe I made a backup of my 1.6 if need be. Glustrod
I think skyrim is really the only game on earth where I hate patches :D Is there a possibility to restore the prior version? Script Dragon cannot work with new versions, and the most important mods (for me) are tied to this script..^^ (Turned off Auto-Update on steam now xD)
blitzen
I'm running with Steam offline for now. Let me know how 1.7 works out. Note that there were supposed optimizations for memory and performance. That may mean less mod overload crashes. Or not. Who knows. Only time will tell.
