This 1.7 update introduces a huge amount of lag into my game, to the point where it's unplayable. Say, I'll start a save game in an interior, everything will run smoothly, then I'll go outside and the game just progressively turns into an unplayable lagfest. This still happens with all mods disabled as well. Edited by Nick75

Heyo everyone,

I can confirm that it seems all that was changed was just the TesV.exe. Game has been running fine since I reverted to the previous version.

@Ginnyfizz - lol long time no see m'lady, from Unholy Darkness thread ;p

I've also been getting a lot of lag with the 1.7 patch. It's similar to the pause you sometimes get when new textures are being loaded, but it happens about every second. I had a backup of 1.6 so I switched it back and it runs smooth now. For the moment that solves the problem, but I had finally gotten the game to run butter smooth about a week ago, and to have it ruined again in less than a week by an official patch that should fix issues and not create them makes me angry. On top of that, if they don't somehow fix this in a future update I won't be able to use the newest version of SKSE or any of the mods that require it to run. I know a lot of people had issues with stuttering with 1.6, but instead of fixing the issue they just passed the problem on to a new group of people.

Ah. That must be from the "memory and peformance optimizations" that were included with patch 1.7.

I have the EXACT same problem :(

It runs a bit decent in interior with ultimate low graphics.. in 1.5 it ran perfect with low graphics but with textures being medium..

Now it is a lagfest whenever i go outside..

I do have a crappy graphics card but that doesn't quite matter seeing as the game ran fine in 1.5 till all of a sudden it pretty much froze on me.

Have had no problems with the new patch. Everything working fine. Running over 30 mods. For those complaining of FPS issues and CTD's. Are you running a bunch of graphic enhancement mods? The conflict could be there. Patch 1.7 worked on performance issues and graphics. Have to laugh though. Even with patch 1.7 Bethesda still has not fixed the Skald Bounty quests bug where his quest entries remain in the players journal. It took a mod author to write a fix for that problem. That mod is available on Nexus.
