Stargate1
I only know unrelenting force, so I don't know about any of the other shouts, but every time I shout the game immediately crashes. I have not had this problem before, but I have made some changes to the game since. I upgraded my Radeon HD 5570 to the Evga GTX 670 FTWI installed the latest drivers for itI installed the Skyrim 2K resolution packI increased my quality from low to ultraI upgraded to the newest patch 7/30/2012 The game runs flawless with ~90-120 FPS outside and inside up to over 200 (which is amazing compared to my old card); however, it always crashes when I shout. It has not crashed at any other time so far. My processor is the Phoneme II x6 3050T, but it looks like it isn't hindering the performance since I have run it on ultra with 2K res packs with no lag so far.I increased my power to the card using Precision X but I didn't touch the voltage, I have a 600W PSU. Fast replies, any tips you might have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Zulnar89
I don't think the problem has anything to do with your hardware... Try to disable any mods you installed before the crashes started (not necessarily those that affect shouts. Any mods). If that doesn't fix your problem - run a Steam check for damaged files. Sometimes, a patch can damage some files, if it's not installed correctly. P.S: When the game crashes - do you receive any error messages?
Stargate1
No, the only mods I installed were the texture packs "Skyrim HD". What if it didn't patch right? How would I reinstall that?
Stargate1
Fixed it, it was the realistic thunder mod.
bscross32
If you ever think that your game is affected by bad installs do the following. 1. Right click on the game and go to properties.2. Click the "Local Files" tab.3. Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache".4. Steam will run a scan to see if there are any files missing, if there are, steam will download and install those files.
