First time using compatibility patches

I've been using Mod Manager for Skyrim a while now, and with how finnicky that game is, I pretty much had to learn a few things about how mods work. I use BOSS now, I only ever install one mod at a time, and I play test each one before adding another, so I can find which is causing a problem.

I just got New Vegas, and like an idiot, I threw every mod I wanted on at once, thinking BOSS would fix it. I was going to do the proper method, but there's just so many compatibility patches... it was spinning my head. So I just downloaded every file that the mod pages recommended. WME, WMX, EVE, Project Nervada, all seemed to have a dozen or more compatibility files roping them all together. I had no idea what the hell I was doing. This is new to me. And I've apparently installed the wrong ones, or not enough, as the game crashes on start up.

So, I've uninstalled every mod and the game is back to vanilla. I'd like a list of what I need before I continue, or some kind of guide as to how to go ahead.

Firstly you should read the mods readmes, you need to make sure the mods your useing can actually be used together. WME and WMX are not and can never be compatible you need to pick one.

Now a compatibility patches are needed when a mod lets say WMX edits a Weapon, now you want to use Project Nevada which edits that same exact weapon. Oh no, you now have a conflict! Thats when you get the the patch for WMX provided by Project Nevada:

Project Nevada - WMX Support 1_3

Make sure you are actually useing the mod your getting patches for, most people complain about problems with crashing because they downloaded allllll the patches on a page only to find they are not even useing 90% of those mods.
