Basic tutorials on modding?

I'm interested in creating texture mods for Phantom Pain but I just can't find many guides out there. I have plans to merge the MGS2 solid snake mod with a stubble mod to make my dream Smash Bros Snake, and I also plan on creating a skin based on the Smash Ultimate texture. Anyway, back to the point. If anyone has some good guides that would be helpful.
