Linux Pc´s Tablets Android – Shadowrun Online!

Shadowrun Online is currently being developed by Cliffhanger Productions.

They want to create an epic, story-driven MMO and do that in conjunction with Shadowruns international fanbase.

And its coming to Linux, PC, Mac, Android(Ouya anyone?) and even tablets! :O

 

The project needs support to change the way Online games are made and to bring us machine, magic and neon grittiness(ever wanted to play a thunderstriking mage, who´s also armed with grenades and a submachine gun?).

This is an RPG, which you can play either as a singleplayer or coop(most likely up to 4 people per run, controlling 1 or 2 characters each) and can be played in "Campaign" fashion (a la Guild Wars) or additionally as F2P. Campaign-players may also play their chars on a F2P-server, chaining the world(and community) together.

 

The team behind (the excellent) Jagged Alliance Online is putting this together, and it looks incredibly promising. But it's certainly not Cyberpunk WoW, or anythiing like that.

p.s.: SRO´s Cliffhanger are working with Catalyst Gamelab(Shadowrun PnP) AND Harebrained Schemes. SRO is NOT SRR though, but another grand experience, bringing us even more(and more diverse) Shadowrun goodness in 2013.
