OBSE Problems

Hi, I recently purchased and downloaded the Oblivion GOTY Deluxe Edition from Gamestop via the Gamestop App. The very first thing I did as soon as the download finished was go on the internet and download the most recent version of OBSE (version 20, I believe). However, when I try to launch OBSE, it gives me a popup saying how I have an "Unknown version of Oblivion" and won't start. On the website, it said that the version I downloaded only supported the latest version of Oblivion with all the patches and everything. By owning the GOTY edition, aren't I already up to date on the latest patches? It says I own version 1.204.002, which is the version that OBSE 20 claims to support. Again, any help or pointers would be apprevciated. Thanks.

Does this run through the Gamestop App? Is it anything like Steam where they have actually attached things to the game so it can run in their program? If so OBSE doesn't work with it.

 

Actually I just Googled this and right here on the Nexus recently it has been decided OBSE is incompatible with the Gamestop version.
