NPCs without equipment

By now I've seen three kinds of NPCs which seem to have no equipment in their inventory. These are NCR Troopers, Jackal Gang Members/Leaders and Legion Recruits (at least those in Nipton). But only random NPCs are affected. Specific ones like Ranger Ghost and Vulpes Inculta have their regular armor and weapons. The affected NPCs run around in underwear and don't have weapons either, what renders them quite harmless, but is also immersion-breaking.

The strange thing is that it's not like their armors meshes or textures were missing, because the NCR and Legion corpses in several Nipton buildings actually did have armor equipped. So I think some mod messed up the NPCs.

I would like to avoid reinstalling everything because I already had problems getting it to work without crashing every few seconds and now the only issues I see apart from those NPC inventories are single darkened or black textures occasionally which get fixed after restarting the game.

So, if someone has any idea which mod could have messed it up (maybe due to incorrect installation of NMM, it couldn't install the MCM and WeaponModMenu either until I manually added the archive) or something like that I would be grateful.

Also, I have NMCs_Texture_Pack_For_New_Vegas installed. I have the German FNV Ultimate Edition with an uncut .exe file

german ultimate don't need the uncut.exe. is already uncut

 

 

and for your npc equipment problem ..make an simple merged patch with fnvedit.. that should be fix this.

 

if you don´t have ArenovalisTextures installed delete the WMX-ArenovalisTextures.esp or switch off them in modmanager.

 

You take a sip from your trusty Vault 13 canteen.esp is not needed with PN

 

note; pn comes with an old mcm version included. u need to reinstall mcm after pn.

you can also run modfusion to find the problem.

Thanks for the answer and the notification about the unneccessary plugins. I already installed MCM properly and it works now.

How do I create the merged patch? Shall I just mark all files on the left and select Create Merged Patch in the menu? Because FNVEdit gives me two warnings about records being overridden in FalloutNV.esm by the new patch.esp

Or should I just mark the .esp files without the .esms? Sry for my inexperience

simple rightclick in the left list and create a merged patch u dont need mark any plugins, gives it a filename like "merged patch" and click OK. this merged patch fix the euqipmentlist from the npc also ammolist and similar things.

 

enable the new esp in the modmanager.

Thanks, but I'm afraid it doesn't seem to work. I did what you said, loaded my save and checked both Mojave Outpost and Primm. The NCR Troops still don't have anything... Any other ideas?

already spawned npc are not affectet by the new patch i think... u need to look at fresh spawned npc.

 

looks like that there are missing files from one or more plugins or there is a wrong patch. i think this errors comes from fook..but not sure

 

or wrong installed mods. u can check this entries in fnvedit that are reported in the merged patch and fix this manual. here u can also see what mod plugin has this error

I tested with an old savefile from the beginning and cheated myself to Primm, but either the NPCs there already spawned when I first started the game or the patch really doesn't work. Is there any way to make them respawn? Otherwise I will play for a while and look for Jackals. If the patch really doesn't work I seem to be forced to reinstall every non-Fomod archive manually and rearrange the load order until it works again. Hopefully that won't kill my savefile... Crap, I already deleted everything and am now downloading to make a clean installation... So I messed up myself. Thanks. Well, since you're a modder... could you give me some advice to properly install those mods I want to use? Like install order, what to replace and what to keep since they surely will get into conflict and such things... At least I know how to install your mods properly now. Could you help me with the rest? And is your LLO compatible with FOOK, PN and MMUE?
