ShiamuraKai
Well, long story short, I would like confirmation on whether or not it is possible to gain the original .ini for oblivion through reinstalling. If not, I kindly request for someone who is not too busy to take the time to send me their .ini backup, or their current .ini (Doesn't matter, either way i'll tweak it to accommodate to my system). Please note that this is not a serious issue and I'm still able to run oblivion properly, I just request the proper .ini for full optimization. Thanks for the help, everyone.~Kai

ShiamuraKai
Mmhm thanks, but I was looking for the one that was put into the My Games folder. Some of the tweaks are missing from the Oblivion_default.ini from what i've seen.
bben46
All you have to do is delete the Ini that you have. Oblivion will create another original one for you. Some of the values in the ini depend on your video card so just downloading someone elses may not work very well. Delete the Oblivion.ini, start oblivion - it will try to identify your video card if it fails, it will give you the minimum resolution. Start Oblivion, start a new game, Make a save - you don't even have to do anything. That's when it creates the ini file. Now you can load an older game and the new ini will be in effect. I recommend exit the game and save the ini to with a different name - such as NewOblivion.ini That way you will always have a copy of your original unmodified ini. ShiamuraKai
Ah thanks, I find it more enjoyable to tweak it manually, but I'll follow those steps to obtain the .ini ^_^
