Mavcu
Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen. You know, I was never too fond of Modern Shooters in the veins of Modern Warfare or Battlefield. But not everything is bad 'bout them. That's why this mod-idea came to my mind. You know this "cross" or "x" that flashes on top of your crosshair when you succesfully hit an enemey in most modern shooters? That's the stuff I am actually looking for. Searching hasn't yielded any results and that's why I'm here to request a mod like this, if someone has the time and will to make it. I sometimes find it hard to know if I actually hit an enemy, because occassionally they don't even flinch unless you land a critical hit or, well, oneshot-kill. Anyone having an idea if something like this exists or is possible to make at all? Thanks in advance and greetings from germany, Mavcu. Ladez
I do believe that should be possible. There are already mods that changes the size of your crosshair dynamically and hides it when not needed. But I haven't seen any of them actually do what you are suggesting, if I'm wrong feel free to correct me anyone. But anyways, a script that detects when an enemy has been hit by the player and then flashes the crosshair should be possible.
Mavcu
I might have not given the best description of what I'm actually looking for, I'm aware. Skip to 29:25. Everytime the Player hits a target with his gun there is like an "X" on top of his crosshair. That's the thing I'm looking for.
Ladez
Yeah I know what you mean. Well maybe I shouldn't have written 'flashes the crosshair' in my post, it was just quick typing on my part, but I didn't realize that the 'x' thing was that important to you. But I get what you want. I'm afraid I'm not sure how one would go about implementing it though, much less how to add a new element to the HUD as that is outside of my comfort zone. I usually just fiddle with scripts. All I can tell you is that i believe it to be possible. And I'm afraid I don't have time to look into it further at the moment. Perhaps someone a tad more experienced than myself will take a look at it. :) By the way, damn you for making me want to play Mass Effect 3 again, despite finishing it the second time a few weeks ago. :P
