Hi everyone, i've got a sort of issue with a mod. There is a picture link.

Also there is the jacket of the carters.

Any ideas ?

My list of mod that can cause it :

Looks like a missing or messed up normal map. To be more precise, it's probably not the normal itself, but rather a missing or messed up "specular map" (which is embedded as alpha channel in Skyrim normal maps).

 

Speaking less "texture-Chinese": These boots are missing a correct "xxxx_n.dds" texture file.

 

There could be many reasons for this:

1. An incomplete installation of a mod.

2. The texture is actually not there or somehow messed up.

3. A wrong path in the mesh (.nif file) of these boots (meaning texture is there, but the game looks for it in the "wrong" place).

 

1. could be fixed by reinstalling the mod.

2. Must be fixed by the mod's author.

3. Could be fixed by end-user, if you know a bit about Nifskope.

 

So, what can you do:

Uninstall the mods you suspect and test. Maybe you will also have to test with other mods changing clothes. If you found the "culprit", try reinstalling that mod. If that doesn't solve it, you could ask in the comments page of that mod for further assistance or simply to let the mod author know about the error. Things like these happen, especially in large mods with dozens of assets...
