watreghost
EDIT: I continued onto other steps that were independent of the relationship step, like spell list and perk list etc. After saving and reloading the mod between trial runs in game to see how yuna faired in combat aganist the player I found that the original problem I was having stopped happening and I was able to set her player relationship. sigh... anyway i still have the other question. So I am trying to make a companion that uses restoration and conjuration magic (I'm calling her Yuna). So far I have been following the create a companion tutorial and I've only gotten as far as the part where you set up their relationship with the player. the guide says that the parent needs to be the ID for my NPC but her name doesn't show on the list (ID is 'CMyuna'. Other CMcompanion IDs do show up however). How am I supposed to set up a relationship with an NPC that the construction set wont let me access? And let me clarify. CMyuna does appear in the actor list. All the information I inputted when I saved the first time is still there. I just can't find her name when implementing the step of setting a player relationship. See bottom. Also, I would like to know for future reference two things about modding with mods made by others.1) If I use a mod that has original content like a completely custom robe made by *insert random mod uploader*, how do I get MY MOD to use THAT MOD's robe? I believe if the mod I want to add is an esp. I can just make it the masterfile of MY MOD using wyresmash 229. is there more to this than I believe?2) I know that multiple masters can freak out the construction set so how will I make ApachiiHairs masterfile to my mod later when it is an ESM. because the CS goes crazy over additional ESMs being masterfiles. and Apachii hairs doesnt function in game as an esp so conversion is a no go.... Anyway I really need the first part answered first. if i can't make a mod using just CMcompanions and Skyrim esm. then I wont ever get to the other stuff. ~~~~here is the step as written. i will note my conflict with (...) 2. Relationship Tab – right click and select New, and add the following in the popup window: Name – CMBreePlayerRelationship for exampleParent – FormID for NPC i.e. CMBree (right here is where her ID can't be found in the scroll down list)Child – PlayerRelationship – AllyAssociation – None Edited August 1, 2012 by watreghost
