Advanced Follower Creation for Skyrim

Good day, everyone.

I recently started getting into modding using the Creation Kit, specifically to create a custom follower.

It's fairly easy to get a bare-bones, working follower with a set location (Señor Enfante currently calls the Dawnstar Sanctuary home).

However, I would like to take Señor Enfante further. I'd like to equip him with non-vanilla equipment (using weapons from masterofshadows and armor from Reko).

I'd also like to provide him with custom dialogue, voice, and animations. I'd like him to be a real high-quality character.

For now, he is a surprisingly entertaining Imperial with Male Khajit VO and dialogue.

I've been trying to get the Creation Kit to import these mods, but it complains that more than one "Master File" was selected at data load (Skyrim, Update, and ThirdEraWeapons are all Master Files; BlackMageArmors is not). I tried just using ThirdEraWeapons as the Master File and the BlackMageArmors as a plugin and they finally seem to load. The Actor window preview displays him in Black Mage armor perfectly (had to create an Outfit to get it to display the mask properly), but the weapons from ThirdEra, while viewable in the Objects Window, do not display properly in the Actor Preview window (they all show as transparent red pyramids; see attached *.jpg). I suspect that, because the weapon mod is a "Master File", the Creation Kit doesn't seem to like when two or more are loaded.

Saved him as an *.esp, checked him in NMM, and start the game.

Unfortunately, as I meet him in-game, he is completely nude, yet has the weapon equipped.

How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance.
