Weapons Added By Mods

Hi i have a query about wepons added to the game by mods that aren't visible in the weapons bench(w/b).

A particular mod i'm using adds a weapon to the game that isn't visible in w/b mode so can't have items added such as scopes and grips etc or even change it's name.

The weapon uses vanilla assets in it's creation,being based on the Alien Blaster.

I would like to mod it in w/b mode,can anyone point me in the right direction.

I've opened the mod .esp in the CK and crossed referenced it with other vanilla weapons such as the 10mm to see if it's just a script issue but haven't had any luck thus far,i'm too much of a newb when it comes to solving scripting issues without something to follow so i'm hoping that someone can advise as to the way forward.

 

Progress update:-Well I've been tinkering with the weapon in the CK and this time created a duplicate of the original weapon which now becomes visible with the aid of another mod called Weapon Mixer and I can at least add scopes and such but when firing the weapon it causes an instant C.T.D,so I can't use the dup weapon as is,it seems to be 1 step forward then one step back,any thought's,comments,advice would be well helpful.

Also in the keywords section of the CK it states that the original weapon is "None Unscrappable object",would that have any bearing on my query.

 

Ok so I've sussed out that "None Unscrappable object" keyword means basically that the weapon can't be scrapped in the w/b,what really bugs me at the moment though is that the weapon isn't visible in w/b mode and how I would undo that invisibility.

Also I've tried adding the mod weapons enchantment to a vanilla weapon via the enchanting dialogue box in the CK but after saving the .esp the enchantment doesn't stick,it returns to ''None'' in the dialogue box,anybody have any ideas on where i'm going wrong,how do I make it stick,bearing in mind that the enchantment is not a vanilla enchantment.

Hope these updates aren't clouding the issue.
