LE Change follower default gear mod?

Hi.

 

Was wondering if anyone thought to make a mod for changing the followers default gear?

 

What I mean is a simple 'no frills' mod where you can exchange their default gear for new default gear of your choosing. The default gear would also need to be accessible from a separate trade/exchange dialogue option. For instance, it could say something like "could you please wear (use) this?", and their response could be the vocalized standard "I can do that" from the command dialogues.

 

This would be to maintain the game's default behavior of the follower reverting to their default gear on dismissal, or only equipping better than default gear when given items through the normal menus.

 

In addition to adding a dialogue option for non-follower spouses, would this be possible? I actually married a follower capable NPC, and I would like her to revert to a more shop/home/(or other...) friendly outfit when not adventuring with my character.

 

Maybe it would also be possible to force these NPC's to unequip weapons until hostilities are triggered? I know NPCs can change their weapons on the fly (equipping/unequipping) during fights, and it breaks the immersion with a spouse constantly walking around with a huge war-hammer, bow, or shield visible on them. Some may think the opposite though...

i was messing around with a follower and just removed default clothing. if you go to their inventory in the creation kit, there should be a sleep outfit and a default outfit above their actual inventory. you can set it to whatever u want, but i set it to none so that i could easily put on whatever i want. however due to that i always find her wearing nothing and have to take a piece of armor i put in her inventory and put it back in when i find her and recruit. isnt too difficult if an inexperienced modder like me could do it (:
