Enjoy the forums, chill, don't spam and let your peritoneum [spell wrong]epitomise[/spell wrong] the widdershins of the enlightened architrave!

OMG, I'm gonna consider being a translator... I wouldn't like to have to translate something like that at all...

Translation generally works better if real words are used, not nonsensical twaddle. Besides, I’m sure the manual will indicate which lever is the velocitator and which is the deceleratrix. ;)

Yeah, but, fortunately or unfortunately, a great deal of the things a professional translator has to translate (obviously depending on what is the translator specialised on) is something like "nonsensical twaddle"...

Anyways, that was just a comment, I am very keen on translating, I love it :)

I could do it, but, as you'll probably understand, I will have to receive my earnings for that... It's my job... ;)

No, seriously, I don't think your sentence has a translation, because not everything you'll have to translate can be translated, although there are many ways of coping with such problems (of which the first and most common one is that consisting of "remembering" the family of the writer of the sentence in the translator's prayers ;)).

And I said many things a translator has to translate are "like nonsensical twaddle", not real nonsensical twaddle :P

It so happens that I salvaged the Universal Translator™ from Federation Starship Enterprise NCC-1701D after it crash-landed on Veridian III. After running it through, it turns out it is an archaic form of Ferengi that was abandoned by the Ferengi Alliance more than 5,000 years ago. And it turns out that in this instance “epitomise” was indeed spelt as closely as it can in English.

Translated, it states the proper names of the first four rules of acquisition.

:P
