Garnn Posted August 3, 2012 Share Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) My computer's almost recommended specs, according to CanYouRunIt, just needs an upgrade from 512 MB GPU memory to 1 GB. I used to run Skyrim fairly well before 1.3, could run on Medium settings, especially when using an optimization mod which is no longer up-to-date. Skyrim, since 1.3 seems to run worse than it did without optimisation, and I get lag even on minimum settings. It's not really playable, especially around any sort of water. I could run it fairly well on low before 1.3, even fight dragons and go in particle-heavy areas. Anyone know what's going on? Blaufrosch Posted August 3, 2012 Share Posted August 3, 2012 Hi, my laptop specs are nearly same as your's. Btw, only the I3 cpu and 4GB RAM here. Skyrim version is 1.6 and (after a long time of ini-testing) and using this little mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10789 its mostly smooth running. Certainly, a compromise between speed & visual effects, but alright in my view. Maybe, the ini-settings aren't compatible for everyone, so i won't post here, but if u're interested to try my settings, plz send me a IM. Cheers.
