Trashhead
Ok. So I've seen many updates for a few of the mods I'm using, and when I use NMM to download them it asks to overwrite. When I do this it unchecks the original one no matter what answer I give. Question is, do I tell it to overwrite? The mod in question right now is the SkyRe mod. (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286) NMM downloads the main one, then in downloads there's an update. Any suggestions from those wiser than I? Iv121
When you update a mod what usually happens ? You download basically the same .ESP just with fixes. Obviously in order to "fix" your mod you need to replace the "bad" .ESP with the new, fixed one. In other words the answer is yes you should overwrite. As for the mod unchecking in the list it is fine and you should just check it again. I believe it happens because in order to overwrite you need to remove your .ESP first, and then when the fresh .ESP is placed it is considered new and so it is unchecked. Here's the example I'm talking about. :)The SkyRe one. And I guess I am just sleepy cause it took me like, 90009745430753 read throughs of your post till it turned on a light in my head. Lol.
