New to vortex and skyrim SE

I have just downloaded the game, and it says mods are unable to be deployed. The game appears to run fine, but does not access any of the mods.

 

 

It says "failed to read fontconfig.txt"

 

"Skyrim-interface.bsa" appears to be missing

 

And lastly Mods cannot be deployed

This is a clean install, alongside 8 mods.

None of these have popped up or done anything for me when opening Vortex version is 1-0-17-7-1551958119.
I do not know what to expect when I open the game, but when I try to access mods it only accesses bethesda.net. I do not know what I need to do, or even what it would look like for this to work correctly.

What do I need to do to get the config file? I have run the game, mods still did not do anything to seem to be working.

 

It said it was a hardlink problem and that a specific file needing to be given write permission. I do not know what this means or how to do this

Go into steam, rightclick on skyrim,> properties>local files>verify integrity. That should solve most of your problems, after you go into the knowledge base found in the left side of vortex and figure out the rest of your issues, if there is any.

 

Edit.

 

You need to go to steam and verify because it seems like you somehow have lost an important file.(Skyrim-interface.bsa) And without that none of the other issues will gets solved.
