Is it possible to download Dawnguard to my PC

I'm asking this question because I have a fairly tight download restriction and it resets tomorrow. I have enough to download the DLC.

From my experience of steam since I got Skyrim I'm guessing the answer is no. But hey, I got to ask.

You can always download it, and then deactivate the Dawnguard esm (I'm guessing Dawnguard uses an esm, haven't bought it yet).

Excellent suggestion. Hopefully it does and someone can confirm it.

From this forum thread and the 'dawnguard is on steam' thread, it sounds like this DLC only makes things worse. As much as I'd like to fight from horseback like I already can in the lesser know Mount and Blade game, I think I'll pass on it. Especially if I have to pay another $20 for it. Maybe someone should just put dragons in Mount and Blade instead :).

Fighting on horseback was added with the 1.6 patch like a month ago. You don't have to pay for it.
