Kazekage1
Hi, So I hadn't touched Skyrim since shortly before the 1.7 patch and prior I was running at a constant 60fps on Ultra settings using SMAA injector and custom textures. I was also using mods. So I jump on today have less than 10fps. I tried the following to fix; 1. run the game through the skyrimlauncher.exe and it redetected my video settings.2. Upgraded to latest SKSE.3. Disabled all mods leaving Skyrim.esm and Update.esm running.4. Verifying game integrity.5. Checked Nvidia settings in case I had inadvertently ticked something I shouldn't and I had everything on default. I don't understand the problem. Everything worked perfectly before and even without any mods on a New Game it still has terrible fps. I have a GTX 580, i5-2500k @ 4.2ghz and 8gb RAM on Windows 7 64. krynis
Did you try deleting the two ini files? (back them up if you want) Edited August 3, 2012 by krynis
RogueDemonKing
Not sure, but just in case, Make sure your GPU is clocking up to 3D clock correctly when you launch skyrim. If it stays at the 2D clock then your fps will be terrible. I was having a bug with my graphic card where the clock would sometimes drop to 250 from 783...the result is horrifying...
