HELP

Hey everyone, i really could use some help.. ive tried everything and i just cant get my mods in my game. the mods all show up in the data files for the skyrim launcher but when i start the game the mods somehow aren't in the game. thanks for any and all help

go to 'Users/*yourname*/My Documents/MyGames/Skyrim' and look for the file SkyrimPrefs.ini. Open skyrimPrefs.ini and find the [Launcher] tag. Under that section, put the line bEnableFileSelection=1 and save the file. You should be able to enable files with NMM or the skyrim launcher.

Oi mate i have the same trouble weird thing is you actually see the files in the game folder after install of mods, i installed al my mods with the nexus mod manager btw.

I have also tried running the game with several versions(patches) from 1.1 to 1.7.7.0.6 (which was russian rather anoying) atm im downloading 1.6.8.9 to try again and looked in to what u said with the pref file. The file did had it the way u say with ! (valid) although the line was placed on a difrent order then yours im pretty sure that should not matter right?

 

Also i enable the mods with the manager but i hear multiple people talk about the launcher but as far as i can see there is nothing to do in the launcher besides changing the graphics and starting the game or am i being dumb ? :P

 

Would love to have some aid here tried for about 6 hours to get mods wotking now without sucses. :(

I am not sure I give the right clue......but if the mods stay as activated in the launcher....then I think they also will be in the game, because the Launcher only display the mod if it find the x.esp or x.esm files for the mods.

 

Some mods will only bee seen when you hit what they shall produce, so you can't see them at once.

 

Be also aware that if any mods builds on Skyrim script extender, then you must install this one...and LAUNCH the game from it...and not from any other launcher (NMM or Steam)....if you have used Steam workshop and sub some files...then you must start Skyrim from steam....when it comes to the first screen..steam will download or update the mods.(only those sub through steam)..when finish...exit...and start from the script extender.
