Blender nif imports for Skyrim still require the tricks?

I'm finally wanting to do some mesh modding for Skyrim, and I was wondering if the information contained in this tutorial is still the most up-to-date, or if there have been any changes to blender and python so that they no longer require the preliminary tweaks and changes?

They still have to be hacked in and out, Jonas. I was checking the sourceforge forums on a regular basis but now I don't bother for various reasons. They weren't doing or posting anything concerning Skyrim. Last time I checked was maybe two weeks ago.

Nah, just personal. I was actually looking to do a convert to the UNP of the basic nocturnal dress to pretty up the mages, since for some reason there doesn't actually seem to be one, just the tiny dress versions. I won't release anything unless I have a decent idea to run with, and I just don't get very many decent ideas for the fantasy side of things. :confused:

 

Although I might release that, I guess, if there's no other mod that includes that.
