So, what I'm doing is this:

 

I extract a .nif file from the meshes.bsa

 

I import the .nif in 3dsmax 2010, delete some thing, remove the dismemberment line etc. etc

 

That way, I end up with only a piece of equipment, say, a knee pad from the combat armor.

 

I then export the piece of equipment to a new file and then, with GECK, I make a new piece of armor that I can wear over my vault 101 jumpsuit.

 

I did this a few weeks ago and it was working perfect.

 

But, a few days ago, I reinstalled my pc, installed 3ds max with the .nif plugin and all of a sudden, it doesn't work anymore!

 

When I make a new piece of armor and link to the new .nif file in the biped model, it shows up invisible!

 

So can someone help me out here on what I'm doing wrong?
