Guest deleted34304850
ok, so if you take that as an example, it is very easy to add a rule in vortex which you specify that mod x must load before or after mod y. so in your example, Etac would have a rule defined that would cause Vortex to load it AFTER Dark Fantasy Forest Overhaul. Once that rule is set, that's it, you're done. Set it and forget it.But, that still doesn't tell me how a mod is loaded in the wrong place in your load order, only that one mod must load after another but their place in the load order isnt mentioned? steamteck
Well, that was an example. That what you asked for. I fail to see the lack of communication. Anyway Thanks for trying to help and telling how I could alter the load order and make it stay that way.
Guest deleted34304850
what i mean is this; you have more than two mods, I am certain. you may be wanting mod b to load after mod a - and so you can do that. but the question im asking is - where in your load order is mod b and mod a? are they right at the top of your load order? somewhere in the middle? down near the bottom? if position in the load order doesn't matter as long as mod b loads after mod a - then my question is - how do you know if they are in the wrong place in the overall load order, which was your inference when you said that it places things in the wrong place. At the end of the day, Vortex is a mod manager. It's not a 100% automated solution where you don't get to influence it. It is taking a lot of the hard work, a lot of the more error prone areas of modding and looking after that for you. It uses LOOT so the metadata LOOT uses goes into how it will manage your load order for you - but - importantly - if you know that there is something amiss and you need to add a manual override to your load order, it will let you do that, and - importantly - once you have added that little bit of manual override - thats set forever. so, if you come back in 6 months or a year, you don't need to remember the unique placement of a mod to give you the game you want, because you've put that information into your mod manager and it's going to do that for you.
