Kheldor
I've got Dawnguard running and so far the only crash I've had is when I tried to use "showracemenu", and it locked up tight. Becoming a vampire severely screwed up my character's face (not to mention I do *not* like the bright yellow-orange eyes). I'm running several "beauty" mods and this pretty much ruined her. I'd modify it myself if I could, to not change anything about our character's faces. I seriously won't be playing a vampire until I get to keep my character's face just the way I made it :) I'm using the following "beauty" mods/textures: 1. Better Females by Bella version 32. Better Females by Bella - Less make up version 23. CBBE skin texture v2 v3 The pal and UNP compatible female face preset for human orc and mer4. CBBE skin texture v2 v3 The pal and UNP compatible Vanilla skin texture 1.8 feminine arm toned abs patch5. Dimonized UNP female body - UNP BASE main body v1.26. Vampire face less sunken cheeks - No Sunken Face for females I'm going to mess around with load order and such, and try reinstalling the textures and see if that helps. Any suggestions or help in this would be greatly appreciated. Besides that, the new abilities are pretty cool but I haven't extensively tested them yet. mayaslash
I have the same problem. I'd like to keep the glowing eyes but for all other textures to remain as they were. UGH I think they should move this thread to the MOD requests section though.
krankyfw
I have the same problem, my vampire now looks like a zombie. Has it got anything to do with spending too much time in the sun? Edited August 4, 2012 by krankyfw

ginnyfizz
I have seen a suggestion that if you duplicate your favourite female head textures in Data\textures\actors\character\female and rename the copies to femaleheadvampire.dds (I'd do it with the specular and normal and subsurface maps as well) etc, that it solves the issue. A member posted an image earlier that suggested it worked for him. Ugly vampires fixed
mayaslash
This might be a stupid question, but how do I find which texture I was using before?
krankyfw
This is my vampire at the start of Dawnguard, after the main quest and then after trying the fix mentioned in this thread. The fix did make a few improvements but doesn't seem to be a complete solution (assuming I got it right).
Dovahkiin069
Are you feeding her well?Because the Vampires need a lot of blood to stay like a normal person. Also, you can use some Potions of Blood to keep you fed.Make sure you feed her well and she will not be so ugly."Skin will become dark and cloudy if you don't feed for a while."(as seen here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Vampire_Lord). I went on a feeding frenzy and that seems to have the issue sorted, thanks!

She still has the default Dawnguard bright yellow-orange eyes but I'll keep looking until I see a new vampire eye that I like. Hopefully Madmole will get his Unholy Darkness 2 for Skyrim out soon with the same or similar eyes (and fangs) that he had for the original Unholy Darkness for Oblivion (that was my favorite vampire mod of them all).
