All mods uninstalled

Vortex version: 0.17.7

Game being modded: Fallout 4 (although other games may be involved)

Number of mods: 126

OS: Windows 10 ver 1803

I've been gradually rebuilding my modded games after a forced OS reinstall. So far I have Fallout 4 at 98% complete (just rough guesses). For a change of pace, I switched to Fallout 3 and installed probably 70% of the mods I played with and played a while. A few days ago, I started the process with Fallout NV, but haven't played yet.

Yesterday, I decided to put a new mod on Fallout 4. I spaced the fact that I hadn't switched back to FO4 and while officially managing FONV, I downloaded the new mod. When I switched to Vortex to install it, I noticed the error, switched to FO4 and was surprised to see that every one of my mods was shown as uninstalled. I reinstalled and reenabled all mods. After I finally got everything where it should be, I checked and the other two games appear to be intact.

Right now, the mod I downloaded still shows up in Downloads in Vortex even though the mods list shows it as installed. Is this something I need to fix?

What did I do wrong? I'm willing to bash my hand with a hammer to make it repent for any offenses against the Holy Vortex.

On a somewhat related subject, I found that in reinstalling, I hadn't selected the same options as originally and FO4 noted the missing .esp files. I manually extracted them from the archive, then put the file in the mods folder that Vortex maintains and the Data folder. Is that allowable in this case, or do I have to reinstall again to keep things in order?

One undeserved pot shot at Vortex - when a new mod install is asking for options based on other installed mods I tend to forget that I have some mods installed (I claim age, and I'll stick by that). If anyone asks, it'd be nice if the mod install dialog would be modeless so I could look at installed mods or maybe even leave the install open while I sneak in and drop in a prerequisite mod. What's the sense in having a super-powerful machine if I can't have multiple windows open to keep myself busy?

And thanks for your efforts, guys. I'm REALLY enjoying Vortex even if I do whine a whole lot.
