ENB Recommendation

Hey everyone,

I wanted to ask for recommendations on what big rendering mod I should use. My familiarity lies primarily with ENB mods, but I'm open to using others (like I've heard ReShade is a thing). I'm kinda picky with what I want, so just let me specify what I want, and perhaps someone could fill me in on what I should get.

In the past, I've tried out many ENBs, but I was usually disappointed. The biggest strike against an ENB for me is it being TOO DARK. I seriously have an issue with this. I feel the Mojave is supposed to be a vast desert, and during the day, the place should be very bright with distinct shadows. For this reason, many ENBs I find unusable, because even at midday, the place is still pretty dark. I'm currently using Onix, as that one has a reasonably bright setting.

But something that worries me is the dis-functionality with shadows. Do you know the thing with which I'm referring? I can load up the game out in the wasteland just fine at first, but subsequent loads/fast travels/cell changes can lead to being in an outside cell with no shadows at all, just ambient occlusion. Or sometimes, upon immediately loading the game, all the shadows are overly harsh, with each character half-blackened by shadow. This is part of the reason I wanted to reach out to people who may know better. Perhaps there's a better option than the Onix ENB. Or... perhaps the shadow irregularities are unavoidable as I a feared.

I should note that other areas react differently. Interior cells almost always look perfectly fine. DLC areas are more or the less with the shadow thing. I've tested Onix ENB with TTW, and it seems to work well enough, though the shadow issue is still present. I should mention that I really like heavily-modded games with dozens of things. But I tend to stick with Onix and its requirement, FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting. I don't have anything else in the way of a weather mod. I've become disenchanted with weather mods as they tend to just make weather that darkens the sky midday in this desert environment.

Any recommendations for a good rendering mod that is bright or just anything really that could explain or fix the shadows would be helpful. Thank you for your time.

EDIT: I realize now that the issue I was attempting to describe was Detail Shadows. And from everything I've researched, I think I can conclude (based on conclusions I read elsewhere) that Detail Shadows on static objects or environments just flat-out don't work reliably in New Vegas, even with ENB.
