KitsuneAria
I love using Exnems Eyecandy for my female characters, but I also like some of the armor and clothing out there that are for a different body so I can't use them. What tools do I need and is there a tutorial out there to help out in altering clothes and armor to fit Exnem?

myrmaad
I love using Exnems Eyecandy for my female characters, but I also like some of the armor and clothing out there that are for a different body so I can't use them. What tools do I need and is there a tutorial out there to help out in altering clothes and armor to fit Exnem? Well it isn't easy, but it's doable! First of all, you may want to join the TesEyeCandy forum, as it's the official support forum for the Exnem/HGEC body mod(s). There are a lot of tutorials there in the tutorial section of that forum that address exactly this issue. There's also a list of recommended tools you need in the first post of the tutorial in most cases. I'm not sure if you can read the posts if you're not a member, you'll have to experiment and see, so I'm not going to post a link. The most important one is Blender, because what you'll have to do is alter the meshes. Blender is an open source Computer Assisted Design program. Having some small experience with Autocad (mainly in a limited support function though), I consider any CAD to be 'the big leagues' of computer design. You just have to hold your breath and jump in. You will also need to download Nifskope, a program that allows you to view the raw meshes. It's also helpful to get a program that allows you to view the UV maps (DDS) files. Irfanview has a plugin that allows this. If you want to alter the textures as well, you'll do that using your favorite digital art program, such as a version of Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, possibly Corel Painter, or definitely the fabulous and free GIMP. No matter which of those you choose, you will also want to download the Nvidea DDS converter plugins from their site as well.
