Dawnguard - Can't join vampires.

SAME problem here! i am desperate...i tryied everything (console commands, new save) but nothing seems to fix this erritating pest!

 

from console commands i typed without luck : setstage dlc1qv02 180 (after you accept the reward) but he just walks away.......without me being a vampire lord nor able to talk to him.....

moreover i used this one : setstage vampirebaseintro 20 it didn't do anything at all!

 

i posted the same reply in another topic (same bug related) just to fatten my chances of gettin any fix for that bug

 

anyone made any progress solving?

<p>once he is staring at you. Make sure you are at this point!</p>

<p>hit ` open the command menu</p>

<p><u><strong>1st Step</strong></u></p>

<p> </p>

<p>type: <u>setstage dlc1vq02 40</u> <- Exactly as shown</p>

<p><u><strong>2nd Step</strong></u></p>

<p> </p>

<p>You will know if your on the right track if harkon then starts walking away, if he does try talking to him he will go on about how you have lost the blood power or something and hes a forgiving man and will offer you it again. You can click accept as many times as you want it will just loop. Dont Bother</p>

<p>open command menu ` incase you forgot</p>

<p> </p>

<p><u><strong>3rd Step</strong></u></p>

<p> </p>

<p>You will know it worked if all the gates and doors are now open, if so close the command menu and go find a vampire coffin in the next room just look you will find them theres lots there. sleep for an hour then go find harkon in the castle hes in a room with a blood fountain and a cattle when you approach him he will say aww finally your awake then blah blah blah, he will ask you to assume your new vampire form before continueing.</p>

<p>guess what did you guess? hit ` again lol command menu</p>

<p> </p>

<p>type:<u> player.setrace YOURRACEracevampire</u> hit enter ( yes your race meaning which type you choose when you created the new game )</p>

<p>Next</p>

<p> </p>

<p>type : <u>help "vampire lord"</u> <- exactly as shown with the quotations and hit enter</p>

<p> </p>

<p>a list will generate not very long</p>

<p> </p>

<p>Now for the final step</p>

<p> </p>

<p>use the <u>player.addspell</u> command and try all of the vampire lord add codes until you get one that works</p>

<p>and finally </p>

<p> </p>

<p>use the <u>player.addspell</u> for the vampire lords abilities</p>

<p> </p>

<p>close the menu and you should be able to transform after equiping the spell and harkon will continue on with the story line.</p>
